In 2006 Guy Fieri was destined to win The Food Network’s  “The Next Food Network Star.”

It was at that time a guy named Ken Brady, who was my co-worker and System Engineer at VMware, handed several post cards out about the food show contest and encouraged us all to watch as a guy named Guy Fieri went through the challenge and eventually triumphed.    Turns out the guy Ken’s wife Kelly worked with the guy Guy’s wife Lori in college in Orange County.  This was prior to either of the women marrying the guy Ken or the guy Guy. Who would have known one would marry a guy who would become an engineer guy for the world’s fastest growing software company, and the other would marry a guy, Guy, who would become a world renown cooking guy.  What wise guys.

Sooooo in 2009, after having been on the same team with the guy Ken, and  knowing Ken’s connection to the guy Guy, I sent the guy Ken the following message:

KEEEENNN!!

Dude,  I have a strange one for ya.  Brace yourself…..

www.justinssportschickens.com

Two weeks ago I spent another three days with my MDA camper Justin… binging him his latest allotment of sports chickens, working on his website, and watching the food channel.

Yes watching the food channel.  So I sat at Justin’s side, working on his computer as he told me what to do while a huge TV to my left churned out food channel program after food channel program, with an occasional switch to get sports scores.  Justin can multitask quite easily as he tells me what to do on the computer , deals with my ADD non-linear personality, and watches TV at the same time…. HA!

So this food dude pops up on the screen. His name is Guy Fieri.  You may have heard of him.   

Turns out Guy Fieri is one of Justin’s (and his father’s) favorite chefs!   No joke.

Take a close look at Justin’s website. Note that there is a rubber chicken signed not by a Sports Star, but a Rock Star, Alice Cooper.  The story is on the website.  It was kinda an accident that Alice Cooper signed a rubber chicken for Justin.  Now Justin’s website is dedicated to sports chickens, but no harm in sticking in a rock star chicken is there?

So that got me to thinkin…….

“I wonder if I could convince Ken to get me a rubber chicken signed by Guy for Justin and his dad?   And/or get me in touch with Guy… and/or bring me along with him (photo op  )”

Please please pretty please?

Whatdaya think?

I’ll bug ya later!

Seeee yaaaaa!

Thanks to the engineer guy Ken for getting the cooking guy Guy to sign the chickens!  WOW! The guy Guy really went overboard to make sure Justin and his dad got some classic Guy Fieri chickens of flare and personality!

THANKS GUYS! YOU ROCK!
